Who we are
Biography
Jenny Steiner, founder and principal artist of Art in Architecture began the Art in Architecture journey over 20 years ago.
She had previously established and run a traditional graphic design studio for over 10 years. Jenny has a design / project management background (RMIT qualified as an Interior Designer) and has worked extensively in the corporate area in market communications. Since setting up Art in Architecture she has also worked with both private clients and larger organisations such as councils, corporations, clubs and venues in her capacity as Artist and Project Manager.
Art in Architecture is unique in its combination of design, construction and total project management. Driven by the creative and artistic skills of Jenny Steiner as the principal artist, Art in Architecture draws on an impressive list of artists specialising in a variety of media, who under Jenny’s management, take a global approach to a project’s needs. With the support of a well developed network of industry specialists such as artists, builders, tradespeople (specialist art metal fabricators), sculpture transporters, engineeers and architects, Art in Architecture is able to deliver work of a high standard with confidence.
This approach enables Jenny to combine the right mix of not only skills but also personalities to suit a particular project. In this way Art in Architecture meets a client’s needs. A project may be started from scratch and undertaken entirely by Art in Architecture or work in with developers, builders or other project managers to complete the project to the level required.
Art in Architecture has experience in all areas of Public Artwork including murals, sculpture, metal, glass work, ceramics and mosaics.
In 2003-5 Jenny undertook further studies in Public Art graduating with a Diploma followed by a Graduate Diploma of Visual Arts, Public Art RMIT.
We are confident in our ability to fulfil each component of the brief and believe that Art in Architecture’s major strength lies in the demonstrated ability to bring the individual components of the job into a seamless and consistent whole. Art in Architecture prides itself on the high quality of its work and critically, its efficiency in meeting deadlines and working within budgets.
